The location of the heat pump will, in a great way, affect how efficiently your heat pump will work. Ensure that your heat pump is close enough to your filter and not more than 25 feet away from the pool. If you place it away from the pool, the heated water will cool down before getting to the pool. It is also vital that you ensure that there are no obstructions near the heat pump. Give it at least 30 inches or more of clearance all around it.
